There is a litany of places to go to that can tell you about the risks of screen time. You just search the news and find dozens of stories where a predator was using apps like Snapchat, WhatsApp, games like Roblox and really any app | game that has a messaging capability for soliciting images or worse from a minor. I have been asked by friends, family, and coworkers how do manage all this? Being known as the “resident nerd” or the “tech guy” and someone who is an avid learner of technology. I decided to share my thoughts on Technology, Games, Movies, and Tv.
So what makes this site any different?
That’s a great question! I want to help people by not just informing them of options but showing them what I do along with the pros and cons.
What works for me may not for you.
The idea of managing content, time, and information minors have access to is subjective. What is fine for you may not for our home and that is ok. Your guiding principles can differ from mine.
So is this just about managing tech and content for kids?
Not always, technology is always evolving. Maybe you have questions about Artificial Intelligence, or you are a senior adult that can’t figure out how to make your smart home gadget useful. Maybe you’re tired of passwords or having your password captured somehow and want to not be a victim of that nightmare. There will be something here for everyone!
